So I’m working on a new project codenamed Grase Pad (it’s a random codename, but it pertains to what the finial product will be). It’s basically a vehicle maintenance/service tracking app, I’m designing it with joe user in mind and not garages.
I’m actually at a cross-roads though… should I use iCould for data storage or just normal document sharing through iTunes… or both?
The other problem is, I’m going to be hosting a database for this app to on the Renegade Studio’s servers that contain things like recommended replacements, etc.
Also one of the plans down the line is to integrate a service manual type system so if an actual grease monkey runs into problems they can find the information they need for their vehicle at the tap of a button. But thats a future problem and not a present.
So here are some of the logo concepts for the other family of websites.
First up the two quantumRadio concepts ( there just different colour schemes )
Black and Purple
Black and Blue:
And next is Renegade Music:
Black and Orange/Yellow:
So here they are along with the previously shown Renegade Studios logo.
I’ll release the RazorIRC logo within the next few weeks. It’ll be a combination of the Renegade Studios, Music and quantumRadio colours.

So I’ve come up with a quick concept for the Renegade Studios logo, it’s a text based logo, I’ll probably add an emblem/icon down the road once I’ve come up with something I’m satisfied with…

This is in no way the final logo, it’s just the concept and is subject to change!
As you can tell by the colour scheme of the logo the primary colours of the Renegade Studios website is going to be Black and Red.
The other sites within the Renegade Studios network will use similar colour schemes.
Renegade Music will be Black and Orange.
quamtumRadio will either be a Black and Blue (which is what it always has been.) or move to one of our old sister sites schemes of Black and Purple.
RazorIRC will actually have 4 primary colours (this website will actually be the only one planned to have a scheme chooser) which is Black and either Yellow, Blue or Green.
So, since I’m officially starting Renegade Studios this weekend, I think it’s time to procure a new MacBook Pro for the occasion. Plus I need a system thats a bit more powerful then my Late-2009 MacBook that I’ve just recently upgraded to 8GB of RAM, 750GB HDD and Mac OS X Lion.
I’m looking at the 15-inch Mid-2011 MacBook Pro with 2.2GHz Core i7 Quad Core processor and Radeon HD 6759M.
I’ll be sticking the 8GB that I put in this MacBook into the new one once I get it.
I’ll also be using the MacBook Pro as my primary development machine while on the go. My desktop will still be used for 3D work and any image work that requires a larger screen (but I plan on getting the mDP to HDMI adaptor anyways and my monitor is HDMI :) )
Don’t worry about funding if you don’t need it. Today it’s cheaper to start a business than ever.

So, I’ve finally come up with a new for my company.
Everyone, meet Renegade Studios.
What we’re also going to be doing is develop games aswel, which we currently have one in development. We’ll probably be releasing it sometime next year for Windows and possibly for Mac OS X as well..
Renegade Music should be done sometime before christmas and we will also be relaunching quantumRadio around that time to.
Well, I’ve decided to give tumblr a try. The old blog is still up at http://blog.quantumradio.net but soon I may have it redirecting here.
